Bomadi Honoured as Nigeria’s Most Accommodating Local Government by NYCN ~ Truth Reporters
Bomadi Local Government Council, under the leadership of Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has been recognized by the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) as the “Most Accommodating and Productive Local Government in Nigeria.”
The council was presented with a Certificate of Credence, while Hon. Andaye himself was conferred with the prestigious title of “Turban Garkuwan Matasa Arewa” (Shield of Northern Youths).
The twin honours were conferred during a courtesy visit by NYCN’s leadership, led by its National President, Comrade Salihu Yusuf, to the council’s executive chambers.
Explaining the recognition, Yusuf said Bomadi earned the award after a transparent appraisal of all 774 local government areas in Nigeria, citing the council’s outstanding record of hospitality to non-indigenes.
He further commended Hon. Andaye’s leadership style, which, according to him, has greatly enhanced peaceful coexistence and inclusiveness in the area.
In his response, an elated Andaye dedicated the honours to God and the people of Bomadi, describing their support and trust as his greatest motivation to serve.
He emphasized that the recognitions were not just personal achievements but a testament to Bomadi’s collective commitment to grassroots development, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.
“More importantly, this is a call to intensify our efforts in building bridges of unity and fostering collaboration across the country,” he added.
The event was attended by top management staff of Bomadi Local Government Council, traditional and religious leaders, and members of the NYCN.
