Andaye Joins Speaker Guwor, Deputy Akpowowo, ALGON Delta Chair Esiovwa, Others to Celebrate New COE Warri Provost, Ighrakpata

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council and Secretary of the Delta State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has described the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Fidelia Ighrakpata as the substantive Provost of the College of Education, Warri, as a well-deserved recognition of her years of dedication, academic excellence, and exemplary leadership.

According to Hon. Andaye, her appointment reflects consistency, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to advancing education, expressing confidence that her wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and proven competence would reposition the institution for greater academic excellence and institutional growth.

Hon. Andaye made the remarks on Sunday when he joined the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor; the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo; the Chairman of Okpe Local Government Council and Delta State ALGON Chairman, Chief Isaiah Esiovwa; and other dignitaries at a thanksgiving service held in honour of Dr. (Mrs.) Fidelia Ighrakpata following her appointment.

The Executive Chairman also joined his leader and elder statesman, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, alongside top government functionaries, political leaders, family members, and well-wishers at the Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, to give thanks to God for the appointment.

The thanksgiving service was marked by heartfelt gratitude to God for His faithfulness and abundant grace, as dignitaries from across Delta State gathered to celebrate the elevation of Dr. (Mrs.) Fidelia Ighrakpata, whose appointment has been widely acknowledged as a testament to competence, diligence, and distinguished service in the education sector.

Following the church service, guests proceeded to the reception venue, where political leaders, government officials, associates, friends, and family members celebrated another remarkable milestone recorded by the Ighrakpata family.

Congratulating the new Provost, Hon. Andaye prayed that Almighty God would grant her divine wisdom, sound health, strength, and uncommon grace to discharge the responsibilities of her office with distinction. He expressed optimism that her tenure would usher in a new era of innovation, academic excellence, and institutional transformation at the College of Education, Warri.

He also reaffirmed his admiration for Chief Solomon Ighrakpata and his family, wishing them continued divine favour, greater accomplishments, and many more milestones in the years ahead.
