Macaulay Backs Police Offensive Against Cultism, Gifts Patrol Vehicle to Tactical Unit ~ Truth Reporters

Former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, the Okiroro of Isoko Nation, has strengthened efforts to combat crime in Isoko with the donation of a Toyota Sienna operational vehicle to the Command Anti-Cultism Unit (CACU) Sector 2, recently deployed to Owhelogbo under the Ozoro Area Command in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Presenting the vehicle to the police tactical team, Macaulay described the deployment of the anti-cultism unit as a major breakthrough in the fight against cultism and other violent crimes that have threatened peace and security in Owhelogbo and neighbouring communities.

He commended the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi, and the Area Commander of the Ozoro Area Command, ACP Zakari Mohammed Ya'u, for approving the deployment of the tactical unit, noting that it fulfilled a long-standing aspiration of the community for a stronger security presence.

Macaulay charged the officers to remain professional, disciplined and resolute in tackling cultism, violent crimes and other emerging security threats. He assured them of the unwavering support of the Owhelogbo community in carrying out their responsibilities.

He also pledged sustained logistical support to enhance the unit's operations and warned youths against engaging in criminal activities, stressing that he would not shield anyone found wanting before the law.

According to him, lasting peace, security and sustainable development can only thrive where criminality is decisively confronted and the rule of law is upheld.

Responding, the Officer Commanding CACU Sector 2, CSP Adamu Muhammad Mustapha, expressed appreciation to Macaulay and the people of Owhelogbo for the vehicle donation and other support extended to the unit. He assured residents of the command's commitment to flushing out criminal elements and restoring lasting peace across the area.

Also speaking, the President-General of Owhelogbo, Barr. Morrison Iluesure, reaffirmed the community's commitment to supporting the police. He disclosed that accommodation had already been provided for the officers and urged residents to continue collaborating with security agencies to sustain peace, safety and stability in the community.
