Andaye Reads Riot Act to Critical Infrastructure Vandals as Suspect is Arraigned ~ Truth Reporters

The Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to protecting critical public infrastructure across the local government area.

He assured residents that all security agencies remain on high alert, working tirelessly to safeguard lives, protect public infrastructure, and preserve government assets.

Hon. Andaye gave the assurance following the arrest and prosecution of a suspected electricity cable vandal, Mr. Abba Saninu, who was apprehended on June 25, 2026, at the Ayetorogbene axis of Kpakiama Urban Town while allegedly attempting to steal high-tension electricity cables.

The suspect's arrest was made possible through the swift collaboration between operatives of the Bomadi Vigilante and officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Bomadi Division.

The council chairman commended the vigilance and professionalism of the security agencies and vigilante operatives for their prompt response in apprehending the suspect. He assured them of his administration's continued logistical and operational support in tackling criminal activities across the local government area.

Hon. Andaye stated unequivocally that his administration would not tolerate any act of vandalism or economic sabotage aimed at undermining the government's developmental efforts. He urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to the appropriate security agencies.

The suspect was formally arraigned before the Bomadi Magistrate Court on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, by the Bomadi Local Government Council. He was subsequently remanded in a correctional facility pending the commencement of trial in accordance with the law.

The council chairman noted that the attempted vandalism underscores the activities of individuals determined to frustrate the government's efforts to improve electricity supply. He stressed that his administration has invested significantly in restoring stable power to communities across Bomadi Local Government Area and warned that anyone found sabotaging public infrastructure would face the full weight of the law.
