Igelige Consults Isoko South APC LGA Executive, Promises Effective Representation ~ Truth Reporters

 — Says He Has Capacity, Street Credibility to Deliver, LGA Chairman Affirms

A frontline aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Isoko South Constituency I seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Jubilant Igelige, has formally consulted the Isoko South Local Government Area Executive of the party at its secretariat in Oleh, Delta State.

Speaking during the consultation, Chief Igelige said he presented himself not merely as an aspirant, but as a loyal party member who understands that the strength of the APC lies in its grassroots structure.

“I have come to you not just as an aspirant, but as a committed party man who recognizes that the strength of our party is rooted in its grassroots. I am offering myself as a qualified aspirant with the education, experience, and street credibility required to represent Isoko South Constituency I effectively in the Delta State House of Assembly,” he said.

He added that his ambition goes beyond seeking office, stressing his desire to ensure that party members are recognized, empowered, and adequately represented.

According to him, “My commitment is to bridge gaps, foster peace, bring progress, and ensure that we approach the 2027 elections with confidence as a united and indivisible family.”

Igelige further assured the party executives of his readiness to prioritize their welfare, noting that a vibrant political party like the APC requires a motivated base and active representation.

He also emphasized the need for the newly elected executives to enjoy the benefits of their offices, adding that such can only be achieved by presenting the right candidate capable of uniting the party and overcoming electoral challenges.

In a metaphorical tone, he described himself as the “beautiful bride” capable of ending internal divisions and strengthening the party ahead of the elections.

The aspirant raised concerns about alleged underground political activities by opposition parties in Oleh and Constituency I, warning that the APC must be strategic in its candidate selection to secure victory in 2027. He urged party leaders to consider Oleh for the Assembly ticket, citing its significant voting strength.

“I am not asking for your support based on personal ambition alone, but on a shared vision for victory. I seek your advice, prayers, guidance, and ultimately your unflinching support so that together, we can keep our party dominant,” he added.

Highlighting his experience, Igelige noted that he had served as Secretary-General of Oleh Community, Secretary to the Palace, and Private Secretary to a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, roles he said have equipped him with the legislative exposure needed for effective representation.

He assured that his emergence would guarantee equitable distribution of empowerment opportunities and meaningful development across the constituency.

The aspirant, who was accompanied by prominent stakeholders, also disclosed that he had received endorsements from the Oleh Community President-General, Mr. Believe Unuafe; members of the executive; and the traditional ruler of the kingdom, His Royal Majesty Anthony William Onovughe, JP, FCAI, Omogha I, the Odio Ologbo of Oleh Kingdom.

He appealed for broader support, promising to attract sustainable development projects to the constituency.

Igelige also congratulated the APC LGA executive on their emergence in the recently concluded party congress, attributing their success to loyalty and dedication to party ideals. He expressed appreciation for their steadfast commitment, assuring that the party would record a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections.

In his response, the APC Chairman in Isoko South LGA, Comrade Victor Ekelega, commended Igelige for the consultation, describing him as a known figure within the party structure.

He noted that the aspirant possesses the educational background, political experience, and grassroots appeal required to represent the constituency effectively.

Ekelega, however, advised him to intensify consultations with party leaders across Isoko South Constituency I to secure broader support ahead of the party’s primary election.

In a related development, Chief Igelige also visited APC members in Emede Ward 05 and Irri Ward 10, where he sought their support for his aspiration.
