NdokwaForward Urges Mass Participation in Continuous Voter Registration ~ Truth Reporters

A leading Ndokwa political pressure group, NdokwaForward, has called on all Ndokwa sons and daughters across clans and communities to participate massively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, warning that voter apathy could further weaken the area’s political relevance.

In a statement jointly signed by Hon. (Barr.) Sam Osasa, Dr. George Ugbomah and Chief Isaac Onyesom, the group stressed that voting strength remains a critical determinant of political influence, effective representation and development in any democratic system.

According to NdokwaForward, communities that fail to register and vote risk being sidelined in the allocation of political opportunities and development benefits.

The group expressed concern that while other political blocs are deliberately mobilising and consolidating their voting strength, many Ndokwa people remain indifferent to the CVR process. 

It noted that political marginalisation often begins with low voter registration and apathy, adding that development follows structure, numbers and active civic participation, not sympathy.

NdokwaForward urged youths, first-time voters, and those requiring transfer or update of their voter details to take full advantage of the exercise, describing CVR as the foundation for political inclusion, credible representation and sustainable development. 

The group also appealed to community and opinion leaders to intensify grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation.

Special appeals were made to market women, traders, transporters and artisans to recognise the CVR exercise as an investment in their collective future, given their numerical strength. Political appointees and office holders of Ndokwa extraction were also challenged to lead by example by demonstrating commitment through action, not just words.

The group emphasised that leadership goes beyond occupying office, noting that failure to mobilise at this critical time would weaken Ndokwa’s collective voice in future political engagements. 

It expressed confidence that Ndokwa could secure a fair share in the “committee of nations” if its population is properly captured and politically empowered.

NdokwaForward concluded by urging all Ndokwa people to rise above indifference and internal differences, insisting that registration today guarantees relevance tomorrow. 

It described the call as a civic duty and a call to consciousness, declaring that Ndokwa must count by counting itself.
