Group condoles Okowa over father's death ~ Truth Reporters
The League of Professionals for Strategic Advocacy (LEPSA) has commiserated with the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa over the death of his father.
Sir Arthur Okorie Okowa passed on peacefully in the early hours of January 28, 2021.
In a statement signed by its convener, Prince Obaro Unuafe, its Chairman,Pius Mordi and Fred Akpewe, secretary, the group extolled the virtues of Pa Okorie Okowa who was a father to all.
"From his younger days as a teacher, Pa Okowa devoted his life to raising a generation of well trained and morally upright young men and women", LEPSA noted.
The sterling proof of Pa Okowa's success in mentoring young people to imbibe quality education is the impressive performance of the young Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, his first son, who qualified as a medical doctor at a very youthful age, leading his siblings along the path charted by their father", the group stated.
Extolling the late Pa Okowa's virtues, LEPSA noted that as a community leader and politician, he nurtured many of the present crop of politicians while enjoining them to eschew bitterness and put the people's interest first.
"We pray that God receives the kind soul of Pa Okowa in His Paradise. For our dear Governor and his family, may the Almighty give them the grace to bear the passing of their patriarch", LEPSA stated.
