2027: Agugu Anioma Endorses Okowa For Senate ~ Truth Reporters

 

A socio-political movement committed to the advancement and collective good of the Anioma people, Agugu Anioma ( Odi Any Mma), has formally endorsed former Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for Senate, to represent Delta North Senatorial district.

Citing his "outstanding record of service and transformational leadership" as basis for the endorsement, Agugu Anioma said it's time for the district to breathe the air of renaissance.

Speaking during the endorsement at Ukala in Oshimili North LGA, the Convener of the group and former Oshimili North Council Chairman, Hon Louis Ogugua Ndukwe , said the body,s unanimous decision followed "consultations with critical stakeholders including traditional rulers, artisans , youths , market women , civil society groups and professionals".

According to Hon Ndukwe:"Agugu Anioma stands firmly on the side of performance, credibility , and verifiable results. Senator ( Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa has demonstrated uncommon leadership capacity, a deep sense of responsibility to the people , as well as a clear vision for sustainable development. His achievements in public service, speak volumes. We will soon commence door to door, unit to unit, ward to ward, and LGA to LGA consultation in Delta North , to ensure that a resounding victory is achieved".

The former Oshimili North Council Chairman stressed that beyond Okowa's achievements as two-term Governor of Delta, his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as Coordinator of the South-South Renewed Hope Initiative ( RHI) Committee, underscores his national relevance, organisational depth, and coordinated commitment to mobilisation, unity and grassroots engagement across the South-South geopolitical zone.

Ndukwe added that Okowa remains a true son of Anioma, deeply rooted in it's values and aspirations 

"This endorsement is not driven by sentiment but by substance. Senator Okowa understands Anioma, believes Anioma, and has consistently stood up for the interests of Anioma people. Sending him to the Senate guarantees strong representation and effective representation", Ndukwe asserted.

Agugu Anioma thus expressed confidence that Senator Dr Okowa's experience , national stature, and proven competence , will translate into impactful representation and a stronger legislative voice for Anioma in particular, and Delta in general.

The group therefore urged Anioma people and all well meaning Deltans to rally round it in the interest of continuity , capacity and credible leadership, to ensure the emergence of Okowa as the Delta North Senatorial candidate, come the 2027 general elections .
