SDU Emerges South-South Exhibition Winners, To Represent Zone At CODET Abuja 2026 ~ Truth Reporters

In demonstration of its growing reputation as a hub of repute for technological advancement, engineering innovation , and academic distinction, Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro, has emerged the overall winner of the South-South Zonal exhibition hosted by the Akwa Ibom State University, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

By this milestone as overall winners in the zone, the University has now earned the prestigious opportunity to represent the entire South-South region , at the forthcoming CODET and COREN National Exhibition, scheduled for July 14, 2026, in the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT), Abuja.

Leading this remarkable feat for Southern Delta University , was Anthony Favour Oghenero , a ...level student of the institution 's Faculty of Engineering , whose exceptional performance and innovative presentation , distinguished SDU from the participating higher institutions across the region.

Oghenero was accompanied on the historic milestone by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering , Prof Adepoju Tunde Folorunso, whose guidance and commitment continue to inspire excellence and innovation among students of the Faculty.

The Zonal exhibition at Akwa Ibom State University , Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, brought together talented students and institutions from across the South-South, who converged to showcase creative ideas , engineering solutions , and technological breakthroughs .

This outstanding achievement where SDU  will compete with other regional champions from across Nigeria , reflects the University's steadfast commitment to nurturing innovation, promoting practical learning , and producing globally competitive graduates .

As Southern Delta University led by Vice Chancellor , Prof Sunny Awhefeada, prepares for Abuja July 2026, the entire University community celebrates this proud achievement , looking forward to another outstanding performance on the national stage .
