Oborevwori won't confuse politics for governance, asserts Aniagwu ~ Truth Reporters

In an unveiled response to opposition naysayers in Delta, the Commissioner for Works ( Rural and Riverine roads) and Public information, Mr Charles Aniagwu , has assured Deltans that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori , will not be distracted in delivering more quality and value added infrastructure and service to them, in line with his MORE agenda

Equally , Aniagwu asserted, the Governor will not confuse politics for governance , while revealing that more projects would be approved during the next state Executive Council ( EXCO) meeting to be presided over by Governor Oborevwori.

Addressing journalists at a press conference in the conference hall of the ministry of information on Monday 10th March 2025 in Asaba , the state capital, Mr Aniagwu said Governor Oborevwori was showing "workings" in all sectors of the state,s development trajectory, and would not be distracted by naysayers.

Flanked by the Chief Press Secretary ( CPS) to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, the Public information Commissioner , added that just as he had earlier stated that the Governor would not reply critics , except with projects, the outcome of Oborevwori,s last week visit on projects inspection across the three Senatorial districts climaxed in what he described as "our global response" when an elated Warri indigenes , marvelled at the Governor,s project pace, enthused , "Governor Sheriff Oborevwori dey show workings, no be chor chor chor ( not idele talk)

"We thought it was just a  question of us telling you that we will respond with projects , but they ( the people) have been able to prove that indeed, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is showing workings and not a question of "carry talk", Aniagwu affirmed.

The Commissioner said the lenghty array of projects visited by the Governor who led other top government officials on the on the spot inspection , commenced from the twin Ubu bridges at the Ogwashi Uku stretch of the Ughelli-Asaba dualization road elicited excitement from many motorists who asserted that the completion of the twin bridges has been able to shorten travel time between the state capital Asaba and the commercial city of Warri .

"Besides shortening the travel time , this effort of Governor Oborevwori has been able to promote smooth motoring along that corridor,l", he added.

Aniagwu also noted that in spite of the Governor,s three- day inspection of projects such as the lsoko ring road , the medical school of the Southern Delta University main campus at Ozoro, Orere bridge in ughelli south , the Omaduno Technical college in Warri south , storm water drainage around the Warri township stadium , the Enerhen junction , PTI and DSC roundabout flyovers , and the Orerokpe campus of the Southern Delta University among others, the Governor was able to broker peace between Aladja and Ogbe-ljoh communities which had been at loggerheads over land dispute.

Aniagwu also criticized the action of the opposition APC in the state for impersonating some ethnic nationalities in their faceless and direction less criticism of the Oborevwori administration
