Iteire insists on party supremacy in Isoko North ~ Truth Reporters

Isoko North Council Chairman, Hon Christian Iteire has called on leaders and members of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in the Local Government Area to uphold the supremacy of the party always.


According to Iteire during a meeting of the party's executive members and leaders he hosted at the Local Government Council's Secretariat in Ozoro, on Friday, October 8, 2021, said that, the supremacy of the PDP was not negotiable as members are expected to fully respect the party and protect its interests.


Restating his unalloyed loyalty to the leader of the party in Isoko nation, Rt Hon Leo Okuweh Ogor, the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Iteire enjoined members of the party to align to the purposeful leadership of the party under the Federal Lawmaker.


For him, party politics and leadership are all about loyalty and commitment to the values which party leadership strongly believed in, thus, imperative, for all followers to show firm loyalty to the cause of the leadership and the leaders of the PDP in Isoko North.


Citing examples of how elected and appointed political office holders have benefited from the party as a result of their years of loyalty, trust and confidence the leadership of the party has on them, the Isoko North Council boss charged members of the party to be steadfast and committed to leadership of the party, and desist from divisive tendencies that would hinder personal and collective progress and aspirations.


Assuring the executive members of the party that he would be more conscious of the interests of the PDP in taking key decisions and execution of projects and empowerment programme, the Isoko North Council Chairman appreciated and commended them and the leaders of the party for their sacrifices that have saw to the visibility, the acceptability of the party in the Local Government Area.


In his brief opening remark, the Chairman of PDP, Isoko North Chapter, Deacon Godwin Ogorugba adviced the executive members to ensure due process are followed in their party engagements, especially, attending improperly convened meetings at individuals' houses to which he frowned at and are against the norms of the PDP . 


Speaking glowingly about the unity of purpose existing in the party in the Local Government Area, Prince Ogorugba tasked members to show greater commitment to the ideas and ideals of the party by remaining unwavering in their support to the party and its leadership in the Local Government Area.


Dr Paul Oweh, the Commissioner representing Isoko Nation on the Governing Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC in his speech, enjoined members of the party to ensure due process are upheld and they work as a united team in order for interests of the party to be promoted.


Among leaders and political office holders who attended the meeting were the Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Affairs to the State Governor, Dr Peter Emaziye, the Senior Special Assistant on Legislative Matters to the State Governor, Hon Richard Isagba, the principal officers and members of the Isoko North Legislative Arm led by the leader, Hon Udubra Francis, the Vice Chairman and official members of the party in the Local Government Area including wards party Chairmen, Supervisors and aides to the Isoko North Council Chairman.
