Delta inaugurates committee on accrued pension liabilities ~ Truth Reporters




The Delta State Government has set up a six-man committee to look into the accrued pension liabilities to pensioners.
 
According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Chiedu Ebie, the committee is expected to examine the merits request on the accrued outstanding pension’s benefits, advice on the cost implications of the request and make appropriate recommendations to the state government.
 
The six man committee, headed by the Senior Policy Adviser to the state governor, Prof Sylvester Monye, included Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Tilije and the Chief of Staff Government House, Chief David Edevbie.
 
Others are the Chief Economic Adviser to the governor, Dr Kingsley Emu, the Head of Service, Mr Reginald Bayoko and the Executive Secretary, State Pensions Bureau, Mr Lawson Efenudu, who will serve as secretary of the committee.
Meanwhile, the inaugural meeting of committee took place Monday, November 18, 2019 at the office of the Senior Policy Adviser.
