AAU Physics Class Of 2004 Holds Explorers Day ~ Truth Reporters



The Explorers Innovative Initiative, a class of 2004 of Department of Physics, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has held their 1st annual Explorers day on the November 22, 2019.

Speaking at the event, The President of the Initiative, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete encourages the students to be hardworking, improve in their academic pursuit and uphold the integrity of the Institution; He also appreciated the transformative and digital leadership style of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ignatius Onimawo.

The Special Guest of Honour, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ignatius Onimawo thanked the president and members of the initiative for giving back to their alma mata.

He admonished lecturers to have empathy for their students and students should be of good conduct, respect their lecturers and focus on their academic responsibilities.

Other keynote speakers were Prof. Omi Ujuanbi, Prof. Felix Okoro, Dr. R.O. Okanigbuan and Dr. Jegede

The President of the initiative, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete and Professor Emeritus, Prof. J.E.A. Osemeikhian presented an award of excellence to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. I.A. Onimawo and Head of Department of Physics, Dr. R.O. Okanigbuan.

A Public address system was donated to the department and cash prizes given to six students, Best graduating students of Geophysics & Physics including 300 & 200Level, among the students who received the cash prizes are Imhangui Marvellous and Iheukwumere Chinenye.

Among those present at the event were Prof. Momodu, Dr. A. Isere, Dr. Ogbeide, Dr. Sadiq, Mrs. Dora Okoduwa and students of the Department.
