Two Years In Office: Andaye Dazzles Bomadi LGA With Trailblazing Performance ~ Truth Reporters

The scripture , "when the righteous rule, the people rejoice” ,aptly epitomizes the mood of the people of Bomadi Local Government Area under his stewardship these past two years.

Since his electoral victory on July 13, 2024, and subsequent swearing in , on July 15, 2026, he has brought an uncommon people-centric transformational inclusive style of governance , to the people of the local government area.

Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , the God fearing Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Secretary , Association of Local Governments of Nigeria ( ALGON), Delta State Chapter , is a quintessential embodiment of a true servant-leader, accessible , humble and  focused on his core mandate of driving development to the Bomadi grassroots. And he has, to all intents and purposes, lived up to the billing

With a record breaking fourteen (14) TRANSFORMATIONAL completed legacy projects which set the pace to redefine the local governments futuristic drive during his first one year in office , with the ongoing  clearing of the site for an ultra modern Mini-Stadium in Kpakiama Urban , which observers have widely applauded as a game changer for sports infrastructure , talent discovery and economic fortunes for the local government , Hon Dagidi Andaye is sure footed and focused on reaching every community in Bomadi , with people centred projects that will transform their well being to a higher level.

The landmark transformational projects are hereinunder listed as follows :

1) Renovation and rehabilitation of the Chairman's lodge.

2) Construction and completion of the Vice Chairman's official lodge .

3) The Ultra-Modern Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori Multi purpose Event Centre.

5) Construction of concrete Pavements with Drainage leading to the Chairman's office .

6) Residential building for the High Court Judge .

Aside from tangible transformational legacy projects dotting the Bomadi landscape , Hon Andaye's two years in office has been sterling in human capital and critical infrastructure. It is on record that his intervention broke an over ten years power jinx that bedeviled the local government with the restoration of the area to the electricity supply regime, thus boosting economic activities and increased security as well as social activities for Bomadi residents.

In addition also , the administration under his watch has rolled out numerous empowerment programmes for the elderly , supporting them with cash grants and medical outreach to cater to their health needs , with the enrolment fees for students in the Senior Secondary Schools for WAEC and NECO taken over by his administration , a huge financial burden taken off parents and guardians .

Hon Andaye's inclusive governance style has been amply demonstrated by frequent interface , via town hall meetings and stakeholder engagement , with the political class , traditional and community leaders , youth bodies , traders , religious leaders , among others.

In the area of security and in his capacity as the Chief Security Officer of Bomadi local government area, he has continued to be proactive by constant engagement with the security agencies such as the Police , Directorate of State Services ( DSS), Civil Defence , Road Safety as well as the Bomadi Vigilante outfit , supporting them with logistics such as patrol vehicles and other gadgets , which have in turn translated into a very safe and secure environment with minimal threats to lives and property , including critical public infrastructure.

A firm believer in the efficacy of prayers and spiritual activities as key to the success of his administration, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , has supported various prayer sessions organized monthly and periodically , in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN), and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria ( PFN) in the local government , as well as also giving moral support to his wife , Hon Mrs Rejoice Andaye , to organize prayers session with wives of clergy men in the local government , and hosting of the wives of the twenty-five local government Chairmen recently .

The success of Hon Andaye's two years in office as Bomadi Council Boss , has been derived largely from a harmonious industrial harmony existing between the Executive and legislative Arm , the Executive and the trade union under the auspices of the Nigeria Union of Locally Government Employees ( NULGE), Bomadi LGA Chapter. Here , an enabling and conducive working environment is guaranteed , as well as prompt payment of salaries and allowances , approvals of training and retraining programmes that have set the local government apart , in the area of staff welfare and motivation, with relief packages , the order of the day for staff , during periods of festivities .

Under his watch as Council Chairman , Bomadi Local Government Area has played host to memorable events such as the birthday celebration of her Excellency the wife of the State Governor , Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori , the commissioning by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori , of the 31km reconstructed Ohoror-Bomadi Road , with the icing on the cake , the Grand Reception by the Ijaw Nation of Delta State , of Governor Oborevwori , and his subsequent adoption as sole ljaw Governorship Candidate ! Andaye served as Chairman , Security Sub-Committee.

As Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye marks two years of profound impact in his administration of Bomadi Local Government Area, the accolades are high , and  his zeal to do more , profound. As the Time Magazine "Best Performing Local Government Chairman in Nigeria 2025", the National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS) Headquarters "Outstanding Local Government Chairman", and Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ) "Transformational Development Legacy" awardee, along with legion other diadems of recognition of his uncommon inclusive and transformational leadership , the Bomadi Council Boss, the "ODOKOBIO", is primed for more for the people of Bomadi.
