G.R.A.P Felicitates Isoko South Chairman Warri Ovoke on Two Years in Office, Hails Devt. Strides ~ Truth Reporters

A socio-political group, G.R.A.P, popularly known as Purpose Driven, has congratulated the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council, Hon. Warri Friday Ovoke, on his second anniversary in office, commending what it described as his transformational and people-oriented leadership.

The group, led by Comrade Gabriel Oruaigho, Dr. (Chief) Ralf Uzezi Onowotu, Deacon Augustine Obogho Idi and Comrade Patrick Oletu, said Ovoke's administration has demonstrated prudent, purposeful and pragmatic governance while effectively extending Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's MORE Agenda to the grassroots.

In a statement made available to journalists, the group praised the council chairman's commitment to community development, saying his administration has delivered visible projects that have improved the lives of residents across the local government area.

"We can attest to your brilliant ideas and invaluable contributions towards advancing the MORE Agenda for all residents of Isoko South. Through your tireless and selfless service, your remarkable impact has become evident in communities across the council," the statement said.

According to the group, Ovoke's administration, since assuming office on July 15, 2024, has prioritised the provision of critical infrastructure and laid a solid foundation for sustainable grassroots development.

Among the projects listed were the rehabilitation of failed sections of the Oyede-Irri Road, emergency repairs on the Oleh-Emede-Olomoro-Otor-Iyede corridor and the Idheze-Irri back road, as well as the construction of extensive drainage channels and the resurfacing of failed portions of Ogbemudia Road in Oleh to improve access for residents, farmers and traders.

The group also applauded the renovation of the official residences of the council chairman, the Head of Personnel Management and the Secretary to the Local Government, alongside the construction of an ultra-modern administrative block at the council secretariat, complete with a modern gatehouse and improved security infrastructure.

It further noted that the rehabilitation of the Olomoro and Idheze-Irri markets, with the provision of modern stalls and lock-up shops, has boosted commercial activities and enhanced the business environment for local traders.

The statement added that ongoing projects, including the construction of an administrative staff block at Enhwe Comprehensive High School, Enhwe, and a modern police station at Okpolo-Enhwe, underscore the administration's commitment to improving education and strengthening security across the council area.

While acknowledging that some major projects are still under construction, the group maintained that the achievements recorded within the past two years have significantly improved service delivery and reinforced public confidence in grassroots governance.

"As the administration enters the second half of its tenure, we are confident that the ongoing projects will be completed and more dividends of democracy will reach every community in Isoko South," the group stated.

It prayed for God's continued guidance, wisdom, sound health and strength for the council chairman as he continues to provide leadership and advance the development of Isoko South Local Government Area.
