Delta At 35 Organisers Visit Oneside Bar, Unveil Tourism, Homeless World Cup Plans ~ Truth Reporters
Organisers of the forthcoming Delta at 35 celebration have announced that Delta State has been granted the opportunity to host the selection process for both Team Delta and Team Nigeria ahead of the prestigious Homeless World Cup competition.
The announcement was made during a courtesy visit to the management of Oneside Bar, a leading hospitality and relaxation centre in Asaba, where the organisers, led by Coordinator Cyrillic Odiaka Gabriel, commended the establishment for its contributions to the growth of Delta State's hospitality and tourism industry.
Speaking during the visit, the organisers disclosed that officials responsible for the Homeless World Cup selection process had entrusted Delta State with the responsibility of identifying and selecting players who will represent Nigeria at the international tournament. They noted that the competition provides a platform for social inclusion, empowerment and rehabilitation of vulnerable individuals through sports.
The organisers further revealed plans to launch the Delta at 35 Lottery in partnership with the Delta State Ministry of Trade and Investment. According to them, the initiative is designed to stimulate economic activities, support businesses and create opportunities for residents as part of activities marking the state's 35th anniversary.
They added that cultural exhibitions, indigenous cuisines, traditional attire and language showcases would feature prominently in the anniversary celebrations, emphasizing the need to promote and preserve Delta State's rich cultural heritage.
Highlighting the significance of strategic partnerships with hospitality establishments, the organisers noted that visitors and tourists expected during the anniversary celebrations would require quality recreational and relaxation facilities. They also disclosed that selected hospitality centres would serve as official outlets for the Delta at 35 Lottery and other promotional activities.
The organisers praised the proprietor of Oneside Bar, Mr. Sandy Acha Memeh, for his continued investment in Delta State and commitment to the development of the hospitality sector. They expressed confidence that the Delta at 35 celebrations would boost tourism, attract investment and further project the state's positive image to the world.
