Delta Ijaw Leaders Set for Grand Reception for Gov. Oborevwori in Bomadi ~ Truth

All roads lead to Bomadi, headquarters of Western Ijaw, as Delta Ijaw leaders prepare to host a grand reception in honour of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

The epoch-making event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. prompt at the ultra-modern, multi-million naira Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori Multipurpose Event Centre, located within the precincts of the Bomadi Local Government Secretariat.

The high-profile reception, the first of its kind to be hosted by Bomadi Local Government under the leadership of the Council Chairman, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, is expected to attract prominent personalities and key stakeholders from across the Ijaw nation.

As part of preparations for the historic and hitch-free event, Hon. Andaye, who also serves as Chairman of the Security Sub-Committee, led an on-the-spot assessment of the venue alongside other sub-committee chairmen and members.

The inspection focused on evaluating the readiness of facilities and ensuring that all arrangements align with the significance of hosting the state’s number one citizen.

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Andaye reaffirmed his committee’s commitment to ensuring the successful hosting of the Governor, in collaboration with the Central Working Committee led by the Chief Policy Adviser to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon.

He assured that all necessary security logistics and administrative measures have been put in place, adding that Bomadi is fully prepared to receive Governor Oborevwori in a peaceful, organized, and dignified manner reflective of the Ijaw people’s hospitality.

Earlier, the Bomadi Council Chairman had received members of the Central Organizing Committee, led by Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, in his office as part of ongoing coordination efforts for the event.
