VC Appointment: Delta ANA describes Prof Awhefeada as "worthy ambassador" ~ Truth Reporters

The Association of Nigeria Authors ( ANA), Delta State Chapter , has described Professor Sunny Ijirhevwe Awhefeada , the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Southern Delta University , Ozoro , as a worthy ambassador of the association.

The Association also described Prof Awhefeada's elevation to the apogee of university administration , as an incontrovertible evidence of his legion contributions to scholarship, literary works and cultural preservation.

In a congratulatory message endorsed by ANA Delta Chapter Chairman , Dr Peter Omoko , and Publicity Secretary , Comrade Andy Emephia , respectively ,  the Association noted with pride , Professor Awhefeada's stint as the Treasurer of  Delta ANA, a period which not only epitomized transparency and accountability , but also positioned the chapter as primus inter pares , among the comity of nationwide chapters.

Delta ANA was stridently confident that with his vast academic , intellectual , social and cultural background spanning decades, the newly appointed Southern Delta University , Ozoro , in Isoko North, Voice Chancellor , will impact through his leadership , on learning and research in the institution, thus positioning it to compete among it's peers nationwide and internationally.

The Delta ANA congratulatory message , also added that Professor Awhefeada excelled as Dean of Post Graduate Studies of Delta State University , Abraka , the position he held until his appointment by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as Substantive Vice Chancellor of the Ozoro based University.

Delta ANA lauded Professor Awhefeada for what it described as his "intellectual acumen, administrative sagacity and holistic pursuit of noble ideals in the literary and cultural spheres".

The Association pledged to remain supportive of their ambassador in his task of repositioning the Southern Delta University Ozoro , for maximum academic and read each visibility globally , urging him to remain focused on the task ahead.
