RAMADAN: Senator Manu distributes over 5,000 bags of rice across five LGAs in Taraba Central (Photos)

The Senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Senator Haruna Manu has distributed over 5,000 bags of rice across five LGAs in his constituency to support the less privileged during Ramadan. 

This is the first batch of distribution of packages for the fasting period. 

The essence of giving out the packages is to help alleviate economic hardships during the holy month of the Ramadan for the year 2026

The distribution was conducted across five local government areas in Taraba Central District, organized by the Ramadan Palliative Distribution Committee led by Rt. Hon. Simon Dogari. 

The event took place at Senator Manu's residence in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State. 

Senator Manu encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the rice to enhance their living standards and  their families. 

He explained that the packages are intended to assist the less privileged and enable the community to observe Ramadan with ease and joy. 

Wife of the Senator, Hajiya Zainab Manu, also urged the distribution committee to ensure that the rice reaches those in greatest need within the community.
