Delta at 34: Oborevwori has reignited hope among the people, affirms Okumagba ~ Truth Reporters

As Delta State marks 34 years of its creation on Wednesday August 27, 2025, a prominent All Progressives Congress ( APC) leader in Warri South , Olorogun Bernard Okumagba , has congratulated Deltans on the journey so far, while affirming that Governor Oborevwori,s style of leadership has rekindled hope among the people of the state

The one time Commissioner for Economic Planning and Finance also lauded the progress so far attained since the creation of the state and also within the past two years of Oborevwori,s mounting the saddle as Governor, describing it as tremendous

In a congratulatory message to the Government and people of Delta State , the Warri South APC leader noted that the state , since creation over three decades ago, has witnessed giant strides in the area of education , sports and infrastructural development , in addition to various spheres of human capital development and peaceful coexistence among her diverse ethnic leanings

Also alluding to the state,s massive contribution in the oil and gas sector , to the national economy , Olorogun Okumagba stated that Gov Oborevwori,s responsive leadership style has given Deltans cause to rejoice and live together in harmony in spite of challenges

The APC Warri South leader who also applauded Delta,s renewable energy policy which has birthed the establishment of a regulatory agency to pilot the affairs in that sector, also stated that the Governor,s inclusive style of governance had birthed giant strides in infrastructure and people oriented social welfare programmes which were receiving wide acclaim at the national and international stage

While urging Deltans to continued to support the Oborevwori administration and pray for it's success , the former Finance Commissioner also thanked Gov Oborevwori for his responsiveness in speedily approving the rehabilitation of failed portions of the Warri Sapele federal road, a move he says demonstrates true alignment with the plight of motorists and commuters along that corridor

Olorogun Bernard Okumagba used the opportunity of the 34th anniversary of the State,s creation , to pay glowing tributes to its founding fathers, evincing hope that a brighter future awaits Deltans as they look forward to more impactful pro people projects and policies under Governor Oborevwori,s administration
