Urhobo Youth Leaders Applaud Oborevwori’s Infrastructure Drive ~ Truth Reporters
The Urhobo Youth Leaders' Association (UYLA) has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, for approving over ₦200 billion worth of infrastructure and development projects aimed at transforming the state’s socio-economic landscape.
In a statement jointly signed by its National President, Olorogun (Amb.) Samuel Onoriode Oghotomo (JP), and National Secretary, Olorogun (Dr.) Augustine Ogheneovo Atiti, the association hailed the Governor’s approval—granted during the State Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025—as a bold and visionary step.
The statement particularly lauded the decision to construct two major flyovers at Uromi Junction in Ika and Otovwodo Junction in Ughelli North Local Government Area, describing it as a strategic move to ease traffic flow and boost economic activities in the affected regions.
UYLA noted that the projects, which also include extensive road networks, electricity expansion, hospital equipment procurement, and other development initiatives, are clear indicators of the Governor’s commitment to the delivery of his MORE Agenda.
Describing Governor Oborevwori as “a man of few words but massive action,” the group stated that the approved flyovers will enhance connectivity, improve transportation efficiency, and drive inclusive development across the state.
The association further urged all Deltans to support the Governor’s vision and ensure peace and cooperation to facilitate the smooth execution of these transformational projects.
