Chief Jeffrey Azagba, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Livestock, Herders and Inter-ethnic Relations, has extended warm felicitations to former Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, as he marks his 66th birthday.

In a goodwill message personally signed by him, Chief Azagba described Okowa as a visionary leader and a statesman whose contributions to the growth and development of Delta State and Nigeria at large remain deeply inspiring.

He commended the former governor for his unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and inclusive governance, noting that Okowa’s tenure as governor laid a strong foundation for sustainable development and harmony among the diverse ethnic groups in the state.

"Your Excellency, as you celebrate your 66th birthday, I join millions of well-wishers in appreciating God for your life of service, humility and uncommon dedication to leadership. You have been a symbol of hope and a bridge-builder, especially in fostering peaceful coexistence among our people," Azagba said.

The Special Adviser particularly acknowledged Okowa’s calm but firm leadership style, which he said helped to manage complex socio-cultural dynamics during his administration, especially issues relating to herders and farmers.

He prayed for continued good health, divine wisdom, and long life for the former governor, adding that his legacy will continue to serve as a guiding light for present and future leaders in Delta State and beyond.

"May your new age bring more strength, fulfillment, and opportunities to further contribute to the progress of our nation. Happy birthday, Ekwueme!" Azagba concluded.
