The Integrity Group of Delta State, the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation ambassadors on Monday countered the statement credited to the former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who said, "We may have lost 2023 but in 2027, we will get Delta State."

The Convener and Chairman of the Integrity Group, Dr. Oke Idawene addressing a mammoth crowd in Ugheli, during the investiture as patron of Integrity Group and award of honour to Barr. Fred Majemite, noted that Governor Sheriff Oborevwore like his predecessors in office will serve his second term in office.

Given further reasons to buttress his position, Dr. Idawene said governor Oborevwore has distinguished himself as a visionary leader and has shown genuine interest in transforming the state with his MORE agenda as can be seen from the on going projects line up for commissioning to mark one year in office.

Speaking on the choice of Majemite as one of the patrons of Integrity Group of Delta state, the Convener explained that picking Majemite is a testament of his towering profile in terms of integrity, credibility, humility and services to humanity.

He recalled with enthusiasm, how Majemite who equally aspired to be the state governor ahead of 2023 general elections, despite losing to governor Sheriff Oborevwore at the primary election, never deterred but instead he campaign vigorously with Oborevwore across the lent and breadth of the state.

"We are here to propagate the policy and programmes of governor Sheriff Oborevwore as encapsulated on his MORE agenda documents and You Matter Charity Foundation of the first lady. And to celebrate with Barr. Majemite as he turned 60 as well as to inaugurate him as one of our patrons and honour him for his exemplary leadership qualities.

"Majemite is the face of development who we will support any day any time. We are praying that in 2027, God will give him what it takes to represent the Delta Central at the senate."

While sueing for patience among Deltans, Idawene pointed out that the insecurity breach experienced in the state in recent weeks especially regarding the Okuoma incident was unfortunate noting that governor Oborevwore is on top of the situation.

"Security breach can happen to anyone or communities but thank God the governor has risen up to the expectations of Deltans." Idawene stressed.

On his part, the elated Majemite expressed delights with the commitment of Integrity Group of Delta state towards propagating the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation of the first family.

"I have vowed to support the MORE agenda of governor Sheriff Oborevwore because I believe he will do MORE for Deltans. You Matter Charity Foundation the pet project of the first lady, is also a wonderful programme where everyone matters. I urge you to continue to be the ambassadors.

"GovernorSheriff Oborevwore has come to stay because he is a man after God's heart. Having survived 38 court cases, only a man after God's heart can survive that. With my 60th birthday, I have renewed my vow to continue to serve humanity."

He collaborated the position of Integrity Group on 2027 governorship election saying; "some people are dreaming because Oborevwore will serve his second term in office."

"Today is a special day, I Dr. Oke Idawene for being a great friend. He has always supported me and I have also taken him as my own. I am happy to see that you people are supporting governor Sheriff Oborevwore. Even though, I contested the PDP primary with, I campaign with him through out the state. I believe he is ordained by God to be our governor."

On the issue of insecurity, he said; "Governor Oborevwore was an SA on security to the former governor so he knows what to do to savage the situation. I equally called on all sons and daughters of Urhobo to rally support for the Okuoma community."
