Dignitaries attend Chief Charles Otemu Akpodiete's one year remembrance ~ Truth Reporters

The Chairman Governing Council, Delta State College of Health and Technology Ofuoma-Ughelli, Olorogun Dr Chris Oharisi, Omamoromo R'ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, led dignitaries to join the children of late Chief Charles Ekuo Akpodiete, to celebrate their late father's one year remembrance.

 

The event which took place at the residence of the late Chief Otemu Akpodiete in Ughelli Delta State, attracted several dignitaries from the People's Democratic Party, Old Boys of Government College Ughelli, friends and well wishers to the family.

 

In his remarks, Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete JP thanked everybody for honouring him, said that his late father was a man that contributed immensely  to the development of Art and Culture both at the federal and state level and that he loved agriculture so much. He also mentioned that he will consolidate on his dad's legacy by training youths within the community on Agrobusiness which will create some employment opportunities for our people.

 

He further stated that, as a security personnel. He will also liaise with the local government authorities on security policies in respect to creating enabling environment for community policing through the engagement of our Constituents.

 

Late. Chief. Dr. Otemu Charles Ekuo Akpodiete, PhD worked with the department of culture at the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, as well as a board member at Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation. He was the pioneer member of Society of Nigeria Artists (SNA) and 6TH President of the rotary Club of Asaba. He was born in Ihwreko, Ughelli north Local government area to the family of Chief Ekuogbe and Mrs Lucy Akpodiete.

 

Those who joined Dr. Oharisi to the event are; Pst Stephen Kesiena Nomuoja, Ughelli North PDP Chairman, Chief Esinone Otoroba, Vice Chairman, Chief Michael Akpobasa, Hon. Ufuoma Olotu, Mr Samuel Robinson, Evang. Nicolas Evwienure, Amb. Kpohraror Emmanuel and Comr Kennedy Atevure, Mr. Terry Ideh, Mr.Tare Ogborodi, Mr. kingsley Oghwuvwu, Mr. Charles Ederhi among others.
