He averred that, “the parliament of any nation is an hallowed citadel of representative democracy where public policies are made through laws for the common good of the people”.

“Again, we must be cognizant of the fact that, sustainable socio-economic growth of a nation is a function of the process and content of legislation”

Ukodhiko noted that, “ there is relationship between the terms, “quality legislation and “economic development.

“Don’t forget that the primary national goal of our country, Nigeria  is the achievement of development as enshrined in section 16(2) (a) (b) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended stating clearly, provides that one of the objectives of Nigeria’s economic policy and legislation is to “promote economic development “

“So, what this means is that legislators must look at ways in which they can make laws that will ensure economic growth and investments, productivity, yes laws that will encourage and also support private enterprises to be more competitive”

Ukodhiko, an entrepreneur expressed hope that, “I will be a legislator that will come up with quality Bills, good legislation that are capable of translating into national economic development of Nigeria”

“Yes, with the right synergy and robust consultations, I will bring forth good laws that are effective, applicable to and accelerate our national development.“

“At the core of my House of Representatives’ aspiration is the need to ensure legislations that will see to the fostering of the private sector development that will be sustainable.

“This entails legislations that will see to the creation of an enduring macro economic environment, easy access to credit, encouraging enterprises that will generate jobs and opportunities amongst others.

“If elected as a member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, i will be assertive and proactive in the House of Representatives in Abuja.

“ I’ll be proactive in carrying out my responsibilities that will enhance the economic development of the nation by performing the three basic roles which are law making, representation and oversight functions, "Ukodhiko added.
