Igbenije hails Oborevwori's victory, says PDP ready for 2023 ~ Truth Reporters

A renowned politician and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ika South local government area, Hon. Cosmas Igbenije, has praised the emergence of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as governorship candidate of PDP in Delta State.

Hon. Igbenije, said the victory of Sheriff at the primary election, which was adjudged free, fair and transparent, was a clear indication of PDP's readiness to continue to lead and transform Delta State.

He noted that the tranquil atmosphere that pervaded the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, during the primaries was a testament to the PDP's leadership qualities, adding that the event went without any rancour, with other aspirants accepting the outcome and congratulating the winner.

Hon. Igbenije, who expressed confidence that PDP will be victorious in all elections in 2023, called on the people of Ika to see the victory of Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, as a task that must be accomplished, as according to him, "Hon. Oborevwori is our own. We should therefore, support him in the coming general elections in 2023."

While expressing appreciation to the delegates for voting Rt. Hon. Victor Nwokolo, Hon. Chukwuyem Okoh and Barrister Merilyn Okowa Daramola, he assured that the right choices were made in choosing the above persons to represent Ika people at the state and federal levels.

He equally called for continued support and prayers for His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to enable him finish strong, and move higher in 2023.
