2023: Osazuwa declares for Delta Assembly ~ Truth Reporters

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Wealth Creation, Mr. Emmanuel Osazuwa has declared interest to represent the people of Ika South State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

Osazuwa stated his intention on Sunday when he led his campaign train and supporters on a consultative visit to the Chairman and executive members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ika South Local Government Area in Agbor.

A graduate of Local Government and Public Administration from the University of Benin, Osazuwa said he had garnered enough experience in the last seven years of working with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to represent the people of his constituency.

He pledged 100 percent loyalty to elders, leaders and party faithful in the area and to ensure adequate representation of the people by attracting meaningful development to the Constituency if given the opportunity to serve.

Responding Chairman Ika South Local Government PDP, Hon. Jude Onyia, commended Osazuwa for the bold step to contest the election.

He described the aspiriant as young, vibrant and educated and lauded him for his plans to empower party members if elected.

He said the party lagged behind in the past because of lack of interest from educated youths.

"We are lucky today that young, vibrant and educated people are coming to join politics and to contest elections, this shows that our democracy is growing and developing further.

"We didn't have educated young people in the past and that's why we lagged behind, but am happy that we now have educated and vibrant young people to strengthen the party in the local government area.

"Politics is changing and because of the new innovation from INEC and the Electoral Act 2022 on electronic transmission of results, every party now wants to produce a candidate that can win elections.

"Continue to market your aspirations to party faithful and let me assure you that there will be a free and fair primaries for all aspirants," he added.

Osazuwa had earlier declared his intentions on Thursday to his Ozanogogo Ward 3 Chairman, Emmanuel Olele and party faithful where they pledged to support his aspiration as a patriotic son of the community and a loyal party member.
