Urhobo youth leaders commend Okowa, Oborevwori over open grazing ban in Delta ~ Truth Reporters

 

The Urhobo Youth Leaders' Association, UYLA has commended the Governor of Delta State, Sen Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori over the historic passing and signing of the Anti-grazing Bill into Law for the prohibiting of open grazing, indiscriminate breeding, rearing and marketing of livestock in the State.

UYLA President, Chief Tony Ofoni made the commendation in Effurun, today, describing the law as one of the best things for the people of Delta State especially the farmers. UYLA charged youths across the 24 Kingdoms of Urhobo to form synergy with security agents in ensuring successful implementation of the new law.

It would be recalled that the Association made several effort to broker peace during various clashes between herdsmen and farmers in Oruarivie-Abraka and Uwheru Kingdoms.
