Iteire tasks Councilors' wives on prayers, stable homes ~ Truth Reporters






Isoko North Council, Hon Christian Iteire has called on the wives of serving Councillors in Local Government Area to always, pray for their husbands in order to efficiently discharge their legislative duties.


According to Iteire, on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, when the wives of the Councillors in the Isoko North Legislative Arm led by Mrs Gladys Udubra, the wife of the leader of the House, paid him a courtesy visit at his office at the Local Government Council Secretariat in Ozoro, stated that, women are usually fervent in prayers and they act as intercessors for their respective families.


Thus, he enjoined the wives of the Councillors in the Isoko North Legislature to prayer for peace and ensured happy homes for their husbands who are burdened with the onerous tasks of lawmaking and the carrying out of oversight functions at the grassroot.


While encouraging the women to be strong, the Isoko North Government Council Chairman adviced them to build peaceful  and stable homes devoid of confusions and infiltration by enemies that would reflect positivity in their husbands as they go about their legislative duties in the local government area.


Hon Iteire called on the women to show more understanding, tolerance with their husbands, and assured that, his administration would support the programmes of the wives of the serving Councillors.


In their remark, the wives of the councilors speaking through their Secretary, Mrs Comfort Okoro, said, the visit was to formally introduce themselves  as an organised body to the Council Chairman, reel out their programmes and seek his support.


Commending the Isoko North Local Government Council Chairman for his dynamic leadership style, Mrs Okoro assured, they would continue to support their husbands in the discharge of their legislative responsibilities and the administration of the Council Chairman, Hon Christian Iteire.


Other members of the delegation to the Council Chairman were, Mrs Helenia Awere, Mrs Evelyn Ugoje, Mrs Glory Aruno, Mrs Beauty Okogbe, Mrs Mary Oyibotha, Mrs Beauty Eresi, Mrs Endurance Godknows.


Present during the visit by the wives of Isoko North Councillors were the leader of the House, Hon Francis Udubra Francis, the Secretary to the Local Government Council, Hon David Ejoor Igbuduma, the Supervisor for Finance, Surv Irori Samuel, the Supervisor for Agriculture and Community Development, Mr Mark Ekakitie, the Supervisor for Environment, Mr Alebe Joshua Onos, the Councilor Representing Akiewhe Ward 10, Hon. Innocent Awere, the Special Adviser to the Chairman, Hon Imogu Joseph, the Administrative Assistant to the Chairman, Mr Eboh Onome and the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Mr. Ajiri-Oghene Oreh
