Iteire lauds Ujiri for provision of educational books ~ Truth Reporters











Isoko North Council Chairman, Hon. Christian Iteire has commended the founder of the Ewariakpo Ujiri Foundation, Chief Matthias Ujiri for the provision of instructional materials and note books worth millions of naira to Owhelogbo Primary School, Orokpokpo Primary School and Uruogbe Primary School all in his natal Owhelogbo Community.

According to Hon. Iteire, in his remark at the presentation of the educational materials on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Owhelogbo, stated that the materials would ensure effective teaching and learning in the community.

The Isoko North Local Government Council Chairman who was represented by the Assistant Director of Education in the Local Government Area, Mr Ovedhe Nathaniel appealed to the Ujiri Foundation to assist in the schools' development through a public and private partnership (PPP) with the Local Government Council.

Highlighting areas of concerns of the primary Schools such as the provision of water, toilets, and the engagement of unemployed graduates to assist in the teaching of pupils at the primary schools, Iteire expressed optimism that, such progressive partnership would see to the improvement of the primary Education in the Local Government Area.

Responding, the Founder of foundation, Chief Ujiri said the donation of the Educational materials to the school and pupils was a way of giving back to his Owhelogbo Community.

Encouraging the students to be diligent, hardworking, resilient and be self disciplined, he emphasized on the need of good reading culture and its entrenchment in Isoko North.

He expressed satisfaction with the educational efforts and initiatives by the Isoko North Local Government Council, and assured, he would partner with the Local Government Council in initiatives that would ensure the effectiveness and improvement of the Primary Schools.
