BREAKING: Nigeria records 239 new COVID-19 cases ~ Truth Reporters

Nigeria, on Saturday, recorded 239 cases of COVID-19, 147 lower than the figure reported the previous day.

The new report indicates a total number of discharged cases at 745 while total deaths stood at 128.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), with Saturday’s figure, the total tally of infected people in the country rose to 4151 from 3,912 reported on Friday evening.

The public health agency in a tweet Saturday night said the new cases were reported in 15 states.

The 239 new cases are reported from 15 states: 97-Lagos, 44-Bauchi, 29-Kano, 19-Katsina, 17-Borno, 7-FCT, 6-Kwara, 5-Oyo, 3-Kaduna, 3-Sokoto, 2-Adamawa, 2-Kebbi, 2-Plateau, 2-Ogun, 1-Ekiti.

While Lagos State remains the epicentre for the disease in the country, cases in Kano and Bauchi states have continued to increase significantly.
