The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, on Wednesday, 8th July, 2026, inspected the ongoing desilting and clearance of drainage channels, canals, and waterways across Bomadi as part of his administration's proactive response to the heightened flood risks associated with the peak of the rainy season.

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Andaye stated that the exercise is a strategic intervention aimed at ensuring the free flow of water, mitigating flooding, and protecting lives, property, public infrastructure, and livelihoods, stressing that his administration will continue to prioritise preventive measures that guarantee the safety and well-being of the people.

The Chairman boss also inspected ongoing infrastructure upgrades at the Bomadi High Court Complex, where additional facilities, including expanded parking space, power infrastructure, and other essential amenities, are being provided to improve the operational capacity of the court.

The High Court Complex remains a critical judicial institution serving the people of Bomadi, Burutu, and Patani Local Government Areas, bringing justice closer to the people while easing the burden of long-distance travel for legal services.

Commenting on the project, Hon. Andaye remarked that strengthening critical public institutions through strategic infrastructure investment remains a key priority of his administration, adding that the ongoing improvements will enhance judicial efficiency, support effective service delivery, and deepen public confidence in the justice system.
