Oborevwori’s Successful Screening by APC Leadership Testament to Sterling Performance — Andaye ~ Truth Reporters

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council and Secretary of Delta ALGON, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has described the successful “take a bow and go” screening of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, by the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a testament to the Governor’s sterling performance in office.

Andaye said the Governor’s successful screening under the supervision of the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, reflected the party leadership’s implicit vote of confidence in his administration and the tangible achievements recorded across the three senatorial districts of the state.

In a statement issued in Bomadi on Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Bomadi Council Chairman noted that the commendation by the national leadership of the party to Governor Oborevwori for meeting all constitutional and party requirements to contest in the forthcoming APC primary election further reinforced the belief that there was no serious contender against the Governor for the party’s ticket.

According to Andaye, Governor Oborevwori’s record of inclusive governance, which has earned him recognition from reputable national media organisations, was further validated by the less-than-five-minute screening process that culminated in him being asked to “take a bow and go.”

He called on all Deltans, irrespective of political, ethnic or religious affiliations, to rally behind Governor Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections, while also urging support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Andaye stated that the massive infrastructural development currently ongoing across Delta State had earned the Governor widespread support, including from many of his critics, adding that the best way for Deltans to appreciate Oborevwori’s leadership style was to ensure his second term bid remained seamless and unchallenged.

He said: “On behalf of my family, the government and the peace-loving people of Bomadi Local Government Area, I proudly congratulate my leader, father and mentor, His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, on his successful and record-breaking ‘take a bow and go’ screening at the APC national headquarters in Abuja under the supervision of our party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.

“We are not surprised by this development because Governor Oborevwori’s sterling performance in office speaks for itself in infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education, youth and widows empowerment, peace and security, and inclusive governance. His prudent management of resources, which has ensured that the state has not borrowed funds to execute projects since he assumed office in 2023, further validates the confidence reposed in him.
