Ijaw nation is proud of you, Ekiyor tells Guwor on 47th birthday ~ Truth Reporters

A one time President of the Ijaw Youth Congress ( IYC) worldwide, former Commissioner for Commerce and lndustries in Delta State , Dr Chris Ekiyor , has described the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, as a worthy son of the Ijaw nation and the state at large.

The All Progressives Congress ( APC) Chieftain and leader in Patani local government area , also hailed Speaker Guwor for his mastery at piloting the affairs of the state legislature which was greatly instrumental to his being elected to pilot the affairs of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria.

In his congratulatory message to Rt Hon Guwor's to mark his 47th birth anniversary on Wednesday April 1, 2026, Dr Ekiyor described the Delta Assembly Speaker as "humility personified, a man of integrity and strong sense of responsibility to his official duties".

The one time IYC President worldwide and former Commissioner under the Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan administration, noted that Rt Hon Guwor's robust leadership of the Delta Assembly has in no little measure , impacted on the giant developmental strides recorded by the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration under the MORE Agenda programme.

The Patani APC Chieftain and leader in ljaw Nation added that the Speaker's leadership has not only brought stability and respect to the house , but also aligned with the executive and legislative arms of government , thus fostering mutual reciprocity among the three arms of government .

Specifically , Dr Ekiyor emphasized , the Assembly under Guwor's watch, has carved a niche for itself in it's almost smooth sailing lawmaking process which has ultimately impacted on the welfare of Deltans through passage of people-centred bills and resolutions .

Said the Patani APC Chieftain: "On behalf of my family and political associates, l most joyfully celebrate a worthy ambassador of the Ijaw nation , Mr Speaker , Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, the Chairman , Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria , on this glorious 47th birthday anniversary of a life devoted in humility and integrity , to the service of Delta State. I am fully    convinced of Mr Speaker's endowment with administrative and legislative acumen, amply demonstrated by the rancour free manner he has carried on with his duties of being the Chief law maker in Delta. He has demonstrated capacity  to pilot the affairs of the legislature , while steering it to align with the executive and judicial arms of government to drive development across the three senatorial districts, in line with the Gov Oborevwori's MORE Agenda. I pray the good Lord to continue to grant him the good health and wisdom to steer the state legislature on the right path of engendering development in the state by passage of people-centred bills and resolutions.
