2027: Isoko Youths Back Senator Joel-Onowakpo’s Second Term Bid ~ Truth Reporters

 

The Youth Wing of the Isoko Development Union has officially endorsed Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections. 

The endorsement was announced during a well-attended meeting held at Isoko House, where youth executives, key stakeholders, clan mayors, clan representatives, and women leaders gathered to deliberate on the political future of Isoko nation. 

President of the youth body, Comrade Joel Emeni Ifoghale, said the decision reflects a consensus among Isoko youths and aligns with the earlier position of the parent body, the Isoko Development Union, which had already thrown its weight behind the senator’s re-election bid. 

He noted that the endorsement underscores the confidence reposed in Senator Joel-Onowakpo’s leadership and representation of Delta South Senatorial District, adding that the lawmaker has demonstrated commitment to the development and unity of the Isoko people. 

According to him, the gathering showcased a rare unity across various segments of Isoko leadership, with participants unanimously agreeing to support continuity in representation at the National Assembly. 

Stakeholders at the meeting described the endorsement as a strategic move aimed at consolidating ongoing development efforts and strengthening the political voice of the Isoko nation within Delta State and beyond. 

The event is widely seen as a significant boost to Senator Joel-Onowakpo’s political standing as preparations gradually build toward the 2027 elections.
