18th Coronation Anniversary: Andaye lauds Uvwie monarch over Chieftaincy title conferment on Ofoni ~ Truth Reporters

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has lauded the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom, HRM Dr Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1, for conferring a prestigious chieftaincy title on Uvwie Council Boss, Chief Anthony Ofoni.

The Uvwie Council Chairman was conferred with the prestigious title of “Omorhofuvwie R’Uvwie ( the child that befits Uvwie), while his wife received the Orofuvwie title.

 According to the Bomadi Council Boss while speaking with newsmen on Saturday February 7th, 2026, at the Ovie of Uvwie Palace grounds, Effurun, headquarters of Uvwie local government area, Ofoni’s recognition  by HRM Abe 1, is a manifestation of the Uvwie Council Chairman’s significant developmental strides in the LGA.

The Bomadi Council Chairman described his Uvwie colleague as”a time tested and proven administrator with high leadership acumen as can be attested to by this royal recognition by his monarch”.

Hon Andaye, also the Secretary of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria ( ALGON), Delta State Secretary, admonished the newly installed Omorhofuvwie of Uvwie kingdom, to sustain the current momentum and continue delivering democratic dividends to his people , in line with the Renewed Hope MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration.

 He also commended Chief Anthony Ofoni for his steadfastness and unwavering commitment to grassroots development within and beyond his council area , acknowledging him as a visionary and effective leader.

 Among those present were Chairman of Okpe Local government Council and Delta ALGON Chairman, Chief Isaiah Esiovwa, Ethiope West , Aniocha North and South Council Chairmen, Hon Christian Onogba, Emma Bazim Chinye and Pastor Jude Chukwunweike, respectively , Chairman Delta State Internal Revenue Services, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, Hon Rejoice Andaye , top community leaders in Uvwie, as well as family , friends and we’ll wishers of the 37 person’s conferred with the various Chieftaincy titles.
