Oborevwori’s Aide, Palmer, Appointed South-South Coordinator of Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement ~ Truth Reporters








The Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement (T-RHGM), a pro-democracy support group mobilising Nigerians at the grassroots for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has appointed a renowned publicist and aide to the Delta State Governor, Dr. Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel, as its South-South Zonal Coordinator.


Dr. Palmer is a close associate of the Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.


The appointment was announced in a statement signed by the National Secretary of the movement, Dr. Abimaje Odekina, who said the decision was informed by Palmer’s outstanding credentials as a youth leader, grassroots politician and seasoned political strategist with deep reach across the South-South region.


According to the statement, the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement is strategically positioned to take the gospel of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to the remotest parts of the country, ensuring that the benefits of governance and the vision for continuity resonate with ordinary Nigerians at the state, local government and ward levels.


“Dr. Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel brings to the table an exceptional blend of grassroots mobilisation capacity, media expertise and political intelligence.


His appointment will significantly strengthen our outreach and coordination efforts in the South-South zone,” the statement read.


Dr. Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel, popularly known as “Son of the Governor,” is a versatile journalist, columnist, librarian, information scientist, editor, publicist, political strategist and businessman with nearly two decades of media and political engagement. 


He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Benin and a Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism.


He currently serves as the Senior Special Assistant on New Media and Strategy to the Governor of Delta State.


An influential member of several professional bodies, Dr. Palmer belongs to the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the Nigerian Library Association, Global Media Professionals, and the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals. 


He is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR) and a doctoral fellow of the Institute of Leadership, Management and Manpower Development.


The Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement expressed confidence that under Palmer’s coordination, the South-South zone would witness renewed momentum in grassroots political engagement and effective dissemination of President Tinubu’s re-election messages ahead of future political activities.
