ALGON Chairman, Esiovwa, commends College of HPMs, TLGs for professionalism ~ Truth Reporters

The Chairman of the association of Local Governments of Nigeria ( ALGON), Delta State, Chief Isaiah Esiovwa, has commended members of the College of Heads of Personnel Management ( HPM) , and Treasurers to Local Governments ( TLGs), for their professionalism in discharging their duties.


Chief Esiovwa, Executive Chairman of Okpe Local Government Council Area, equally charged the leadership of the College of HPMs & TLGs, to sustain and intensify their efforts towards strengthening the local government system , in order to contribute meaningfully to the overall development and success of the Oborevwori led administration .



The Okpe Council Chairman, represented by the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Chairman and State ALGON Secretary , Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, gave the admonition during the 2025 Maiden End-of-Year Celebration of the College of Heads of Personnel Management and Treasurers to Local Governments ( HPM & TLG) , at the prestigious Wetland Hotel, Ughelli .


According to the State ALGON Chairman, Chief Isaiah Esiovwa, the professionalism , dedication, and unwavering commitment to effective public service delivery across the various local government councils in Delta State, is an added fillip to the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led administration.




He noted that that their  diligence, administrative competence, and strict adherence to due process, have remained pivotal hallmarks to the smooth and effective functioning of local government administration in Delta state.



The Delta State ALGON Chairman noted that the corporate diligence of the group , encapsulated   in their strict adherence to due process , have remained pivotal to the smooth and efficient functioning of local government administration under the present administration .



The Delta State ALGON Chairman therefore tasked the leadership of the college of Heads of Personnel Management and Treasurers to Local Governments , to sustain and intensify their efforts towards strengthening the local government system, so as to contribute meaningfully to the overall development and success of the state .



Responding , the President of the College, Chief Augustine Emaduku, expressed the determination of his body , to continue to ensure that the ideals of the local government system , as the grassroots government , is achieved harmoniously .



Emaduku pledged unalloyed commitment, on behalf of his members, to steadfastness, discipline , and commitment to sound social work ethics, particularly placing keen attention to administrative responsibilities and professionalism in the discharge of his members' duties.



The 2025 maiden end of year celebration of the College of HPMs/TLGs of Delta State , was graced by the Hon Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon Prince Kelly Penawou, represented by the Chairman of Delta State Local Government Commission, Deacon Joseph Otirhue, among others.
