UYLA Commends Oborevwori for Flagging Off Warri–Sapele–Benin Road Reconstruction ~ Truth Reporters

The Urhobo Youth Leaders’ Association (UYLA) has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, for his visionary leadership and commitment to infrastructure renewal following the flag-off of the Warri–Sapele–Benin Road reconstruction project.

In a statement by UYLA's National President, Olorogun (Amb.) Samuel Onoriode Oghotomo (JP) and the National Secretary, Olorogun Dr. Augustine Ogheneovo Atiti on Tuesday, the Association described the initiative as a bold step toward alleviating the suffering of commuters and boosting economic activities within Delta and the South-South region.

UYLA noted that the Warri–Sapele–Benin Road has for years remained a nightmare for motorists due to its deplorable condition, adding that the governor’s intervention demonstrates responsiveness, foresight, and compassion for the people.

“The decision of Governor Oborevwori to take up this long-neglected federal road is a testimony of people-centered governance and practical collaboration between the state and federal authorities under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement read.

The group also praised the governor for other ongoing developmental projects across Delta State, including the construction of flyovers, drainage systems, and access roads, noting that such efforts are in line with his MORE Agenda for sustainable growth.

UYLA further appealed to residents, contractors, and community stakeholders to support the government in ensuring the timely and successful completion of the project.

“Governor Oborevwori is setting a new standard for inclusive leadership. His actions show that development knows no political or ethnic boundary when the people’s welfare is the priority".
