Onyeme Urges Collective Action for Delta’s Devt ~ Truth Reporters

 

 

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has called on all Deltans to join hands in advancing the state’s development.

 

Sir Onyeme made the appeal on Saturday at the commissioning of Sky Favour Hotel in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, where he commended the project as a bold step toward economic growth and job creation in the state.

 

He noted that the establishment of the hotel reflects the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for investment, peace, and sustainable progress.

 

“This administration has always believed that development, investment, peace, and security will encourage Deltans in the diaspora to return home and contribute to the growth of our state and communities,” Onyeme said. “On behalf of the Governor and the entire government, we appreciate this effort of establishing this hotel in Delta.”

 

The Deputy Governor assured investors of the state government’s unwavering support, emphasizing that Delta remains open and conducive for business. “Any Deltan who brings his or her money back home to invest will not have any reason to regret it,” he said. “If you don’t develop your place, don’t expect others to come and do it for you. When you show what you have done yourself, others will have more confidence in what you are saying.”

 

Chairman of the occasion and Director-General, Revenue Monitoring, Tracking and Audit, Chief Mike Edegware, commended the state government for sustaining an environment that encourages private investment and enterprise growth.

 

In his welcome address, the Managing Director/CEO of Sky Favour Hotel, Mr. Peter Idhugwe, represented by Barr. Favour Idhugwe, said the hotel’s establishment in Oleh would help unlock the area’s tourism potential by attracting visitors to Isoko’s rich cultural festivals and warm hospitality.
