Dr. Akpodiete Honoured for Outstanding Commitment to Community Service ~ Truth Reporters








Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete, PhD, Executive Director of the Olotu and Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation, has been conferred with an Award of Excellence in Management and inducted as a Fellow of the Institute of Education, Management and Professional Studies (IEMPS).

The recognition, which took place at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, celebrates Dr. Akpodiete’s exemplary leadership, humanitarian contributions, and unwavering commitment to community service and professional development.

The induction ceremony, which was attended by prominent academics and professionals, aimed to empower professionals and enhance their future towards global best practices through knowledge sharing, capacity building, innovation, and technology. The theme of the conference was "Strengthening Global Best Practices in Education Management Sciences and Professional Landscape."


Pst. Dr. Emmanuel Obizue, National President of IEMPS, welcomed the inductees and awardees, congratulating them on their achievement. He emphasized the institute's commitment to promoting excellence in education management and professional practices.


The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, congratulated the inductees and awardees, urging them to engage in global ethical practices within their profession. Other keynote speakers at the conference included Prof. Owunari Gorgewill, Prof. J.M.O. Gabriel, Prof. U.J. Nwogu, and Prof. Solomon A. Ikenga.


Dr. Akpodiete was among several distinguished individuals inducted as Fellows and Awardees, including Prof. Godfrey O. Omojefe, Prof. I.N. Dokubo, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah, Dr. Doye Angela Igbinedion, and Dr. Henrietta Uche Egu among others.


Dr. Akpodiete's foundation has been dedicated to serving communities and transforming lives, particularly in Delta State. The foundation focuses on various initiatives, including education, healthcare, community development, security and safety, and empowerment.


Dr. Akpodiete expressed his gratitude to IEMPS for the award and promised to continue making a positive impact in more communities in Delta State. He also presented his research journal on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on management functions.
