The Pastor of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Elume-Sapele, Pastor Ambrose Idowu Ogana, has extended love and support to widows and infants in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State as part of activities marking his birthday anniversary.

Pastor Ogana visited Oviorie and Okpara-Inland communities where he distributed 300 wrappers and 100 clothing items to widows and infants during ceremonies held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Oviorie, and Christ the King Catholic Church, Okpara-Inland.

In his remarks, Pastor Ogana expressed gratitude to Rev. Fr. Solomon Mbahaotu for his warm reception and to the widows for turning out in large numbers.

He explained that the outreach was a covenant he made with God 11 years ago to celebrate his birthday by reaching out to widows, prisoners, orphanages, and infants.

“It is a covenant I entered with God 11 years ago to share gifts with widows, prisoners, orphanages, and infants during my birthday. I started when things were rough with my family, giving to just three widows and two infants. Today, the number has grown significantly,” he said.

The cleric noted that he had previously carried out similar visits in Oghara, Jesse, Sapele, and Agbor, adding that this year God directed him to Ethiope East to bless widows and children with wrappers and clothes.

He urged the beneficiaries to accept the gifts with joy and prayed for God’s blessings and protection upon them and their families.

Rev. Fr. Mbahaotu, who received Pastor Ogana at the two venues, commended him for his generosity, describing the gesture as one that attracts divine blessings.

He emphasized that the best way to celebrate a birthday is by giving to others, quoting the scripture in Matthew: “God blesses those who provide for widows.”

He also encouraged the widows and families to always remember Pastor Ogana and his household in prayers for God’s continuous blessings and replenishment.

The outreach climaxed with refreshments provided by Pastor Ogana for the widows in both communities.
