Oborevwori Hails Olu of Warri’s Visionary Reign at 4th Coronation Anniversary ~ Truth Reporters

 

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extolled the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, for his exemplary leadership, cultural revival, and contributions to peace and development in the state.

 

The Governor gave the commendation during a homage-paying ceremony at the Olu’s Palace Grounds, Aghofen, Warri, to mark the monarch’s 4th coronation anniversary.

 

Represented by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, who led a high-powered state delegation, Governor Oborevwori described the monarch’s reign as a beacon of peace, unity, and purposeful leadership.

 

“Since ascending the revered throne in August 2021, Your Royal Majesty has demonstrated that traditional leadership, when guided by vision and integrity, can be a powerful force for transformation,” the Governor said.

 

He lauded Ogiame Atuwatse III for redefining traditional leadership through innovation, global partnerships, and integrity, stressing that his reign has promoted harmony in Warri Kingdom, upheld equity and justice, and advanced the cultural pride of the Itsekiri nation.

 

The Governor also noted the Olu’s efforts in forging bilateral partnerships and attracting investments, which have positioned Warri as a growing economic hub in line with his administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda — Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

 

Reaffirming his administration’s support for the traditional institution, Oborevwori said: “The tranquility of Warri Kingdom under your reign has provided the foundation upon which we continue to expand infrastructure, empower communities, and drive development across Delta State.”

 

He extended warm felicitations to the Olu and the Itsekiri nation, expressing optimism that the monarch’s reign would continue to inspire unity and progress.

 

“May your reign remain a source of light, unity, and progress to Iwere land, Delta State, and Nigeria at large,” the Governor prayed.

 

The anniversary celebration attracted dignitaries from across the country, including members of the National and State Assemblies, Federal and State Executive Councils, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and well-wishers. 

The colorful event featured cultural displays, traditional music, and tributes to the Olu’s visionary leadership and commitment to his people’s welfare.
