Isoko National Youth Assembly Sets August 14 for Public Discourse on Devt Issues ~ Truth Reporters

The Isoko National Youth Assembly (INYA) Worldwide has announced plans to host a high-level public discourse aimed at addressing key developmental issues affecting the Isoko Nation.

According to a statement signed by INYA President, Comrade Eniwake Orogun, and Secretary General, Governor Emumena, the event will bring together stakeholders, youth leaders, and members of the public to deliberate on pressing matters, with a special focus on political leadership, energy challenges, and legislative reforms.

The discussions will centre on four major themes: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s two years in office and its impact on the Isoko people; Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s two years in office and his contributions to Isoko Nation; progress made under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA); and the persistent electricity shortage in the area, alongside possible solutions.

The Assembly noted that as one of the largest onshore crude oil-producing ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, generating significant revenue for both Delta State and the nation, it was crucial for Isoko youths to engage in constructive dialogue on issues that shape their collective future.

The outcome of the deliberations, the organisers said, will be compiled into a position paper and submitted to both the state and federal governments as part of efforts to foster a more prosperous Isoko Nation and Delta State.

The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Isoko Youth House (Fred Obe Secretariat), Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area, beginning at 11:00 a.m. prompt.
