Integrity Group Nigeria Unveils APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, as National Patron ~ Truth Reporters

In a bold show of alignment with the Renewed Hope for More Agenda, the Integrity Group of Nigeria, also known as the Renewed Hope for More Agenda Ambassadors, a prominent political support organization, on Tuesday officially unveiled the national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, as a national patron of the group during a courtesy visit to the APC national secretariat in Abuja.

The high-level visit, which drew representatives from eight states, was led by the group’s national convener, Dr. Oke Idawene, who reaffirmed the Integrity Group’s strong commitment to mobilizing 15 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

He emphasized the group’s determination to counter misinformation and propaganda, particularly from coalitions led by individuals who had previously contributed to Nigeria’s decline.

Dr. Idawene declared the group’s firm support for President Tinubu’s sweeping reforms, citing key policy decisions such as halting the flawed naira redesign policy, floating the naira to reflect market realities, removing the longstanding fuel subsidy, strengthening national security, reviving the agricultural and healthcare sectors, and clearing decades-old IMF debts.

According to him, these bold measures are already repositioning Nigeria for global respect. He also pledged support for Senator Basiru’s future political ambition, particularly his bid for the Osun State governorship.

In his response, Senator Basiru expressed appreciation for the group’s nationwide grassroots efforts in promoting the president’s achievements and vision.

He warned against a return to failed coalitions and emphasized that President Tinubu’s accomplishments in stabilizing the economy, attracting foreign investment, enhancing infrastructure, and prioritizing national security were laying a solid foundation for future generations.

He described the support from the Integrity Group as timely and strategic in the evolving national political landscape.

A highlight of the visit was the presentation of branded souvenirs and the official invitation card for the upcoming national summit of the Integrity Group, scheduled for August 18, 2025.

The summit, themed “Renewed Hope for More Agenda: The Only Way to Go,” is designed to showcase the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration, highlight ongoing reforms, and outline the vision for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.

The event attracted several dignitaries, including Dr. Jonah, deputy national chairman from Taraba State, the FCT chairman of the Integrity Group, Hon. Obinna, national youth leader from Ebonyi State, the national vice chairman for the South East from Anambra State, and the South-South woman leader from Delta State. Delegates from Yobe, Edo, Delta, Taraba, Benue, Niger, Gombe, Lagos, and the FCT were also in attendance.

The engagement marked a renewed synergy between grassroots mobilization and national political coordination, underscoring the Integrity Group’s growing influence in shaping Nigeria’s democratic future under the Renewed Hope for More Agenda.
