Stakeholders Reaffirm Support for PAP Administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro ~ Truth Reporters

 

 

The Critical Stakeholders Forum of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has passed a vote of confidence in the Administrator, High Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro, reaffirming their trust in his competence and transformational leadership.

 

In a press release signed by Chief Reuben C. Wilson, Chairman of the Forum, the group described Dr. Otuaro as a blessing to the Presidential Amnesty Programme and the Niger Delta region. They condemned recent criticisms against him, noting that under his leadership, the PAP has been sanitized and repositioned to effectively execute its core mandate of rehabilitating, training, and reintegrating ex-agitators.

 

The stakeholders praised Dr. Otuaro for instituting transparency and accountability, which they said have made the programme more result-oriented and productive. They emphasized the need for all criticisms to be factual, constructive, and patriotic, and urged individuals to refrain from bitterness and politically motivated attacks.

 

Specifically addressing comments made by Owusu Owupele and his group, the Forum advised them to conduct a thorough and objective analysis of Dr. Otuaro’s reforms and to offer an unreserved public apology for their unfounded and malicious statements.

 

The Forum noted that the Administrator has repositioned the PAP, which had lost focus prior to his appointment, restoring its original vision and improving its delivery through visionary leadership. They called on all patriotic Niger Deltans and genuine beneficiaries to rally behind Dr. Otuaro in order to ensure the continued success of the programme.

 

They expressed concern over the growing trend of baseless attacks on public officeholders, warning that such actions could distract leaders and hinder development. The Forum urged all Niger Deltans to support a peaceful, united, and prosperous region by rejecting divisive politics and supporting the programme’s goals.

 

They reiterated that while criticism is vital for democratic accountability, it must be expressed truthfully, constructively, and free from bias or personal vendettas.

 

Concluding the statement, Chief Wilson stressed that the PAP needs a stable and productive environment to succeed. He called on all stakeholders to provide the necessary support and enabling environment for Dr. Otuaro to effectively carry out his duties.
