2027: Ughelli-South United Forum Inaugurates Ward Executives, Coordinators in Support of Oborevwori’s Re-election ~ Truth Reporters

In a significant milestone for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli-South, the Ughelli-South United Forum (USUF) yesterday officially inaugurated its executives and coordinators for Jeremi Wards 1 and 2.

The event, which drew party faithful from across the wards, marked a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilization and unity ahead of the 2027 elections.

Chairman of the Forum, Olorogun Godwin Okporoko, in his address, emphasized the importance of collective interest over personal ambition in building a stronger party.

He stated, “Our strength lies in our unity. If we want the PDP to flourish in Ughelli-South, we must prioritize the collective good.

"The Forum is committed to ensuring that those who have worked tirelessly for the party are recognized and rewarded. This will further motivate them to do more for the PDP and strengthen party unity.”

He reiterated the Forum’s unwavering support for the re-election of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, describing him as a “workaholic” leader deserving of a second term.

While inaugurating the ward executives and coordinators, Okporoko expressed confidence in their capacity, calling them seasoned grassroots mobilizers. “I have absolute trust in your ability to spread the message of the PDP, Governor Sheriff, and the Ughelli-South United Forum,” he said.

Hon. Michael Oshetigho, the Forum’s Organizing Secretary and immediate past Chairman of Ughelli-South PDP, also spoke at the event.

He called for collective commitment to the Forum’s mission, urging members to stand firmly behind Governor Oborevwori and work tirelessly toward a PDP victory in 2027.

Comr. Okoh Ezekiel Oghenetega PhD, representing Jeremi Ward 1, highlighted the Forum’s role in upholding shared values and enhancing service delivery in Ughelli-South.

“As we move forward, we must place the common good above personal gain — this is the foundation of our Forum,” he said.

From Jeremi Ward 2, Hon. Oghenegueke Michael echoed similar sentiments, assuring the crowd in Otughiewen of the Forum’s commitment to a united and responsive PDP.

“Let’s approach the future with determination and purpose, working together for a better Ughelli-South,” he urged.

Also speaking, Hon. Oteri Homes Aka Ghana Bar, a member of the Local Government Executive from Jeremi Ward 2, assured attendees of the Forum’s readiness to mobilize support at the grassroots.

“With the quality of our members, USUF will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that everyone who contributes to the party’s success is carried along,” he stated.

The Forum’s top executives were fully present to witness the inauguration, signaling a strong start to what many consider a strategic move towards securing victory for the PDP and Governor Oborevwori in 2027.
