As part of activities to mark this year's Easter celebration, the member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has decided to increase the number of beneficiaries under his Monthly Revolving Financial Assistance Scheme for the aged and indigent people of the Constituency from 240 to 400.

In a statement on Saturday at Oleh from the Constituency office of the House of Representatives member, the increased of the numbers beneficiaries was necessitated by the feedback received from the first sets of beneficiaries of the scheme in last February.

The statement read in part, “the member representing Isoko North and South, Rep. Ajirioghene Jonathan Ukodhiko, through his foundation, the UJA FAMILY FOUNDATION, has decided to increase the number of beneficiaries for the Monthly Revolving Financial Assistance Scheme of 5,000 to less privileged households (aged) in the 24 Federal Wards in Isoko North/South Federal Constituency from the initial 240 to 400 beneficiaries.

“The essence of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to less-privileged households with elderly people and people living with disabilities in Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas of the Federal Constituency who can no longer sufficiently fend for themselves or go into business ventures again.”

The revolving humanitarian scheme is part of efforts by Hon. Ukodhiko to cushion the hardship being faced by the people of Isoko Federal Constituency as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy. The scheme will run all through the tenure of the lawmaker.
