Disturbed by the sufferings road users passed through daily on failed portions of Mofor-Orhuwhorun-Usiefrun Road in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area, Chief Saturday Mofoye, has embarked on massive repairs of the road.

Mofoye, who is also a former Senior Special Assistant to immediate past Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Matters, promised to extend the gesture to other major towns in the area.

It could be recalled that before the repair of the road by Chief Mofoye, motorists spent hours passing through the road to other parts of Udu and Ughelli South Local Government areas of the state.

After the repairs with hard stones bought from DSC, running into hundred of thousands of naira, the failed portions have become motorable.

In a chat with journalists during the repairs, Chief Mofoye said he decided to repair the failed portions of the road to ameliorate the suffering of its users.

He said the Delta State Government had in time past promised to construct the road down to Owhrode and Usiefrun communities, "and I know in no distance time the road will be constructed."

Elated by the good gesture, one Evang. Freeborn Yafogho, thanked Hon. Mofoye for ameliorating the suffering of the road users in the area.

While appealing to others to emulate the gesture of Chief Mofoye, Yafogho called on the Federal Government and NDDC to direct their attention to the road, by constructing it with drainages in both sides for it to stand the test of time.
