2023: Girl-child, women empowerment will reduce poverty in Isoko - Ukodhiko ~ Truth Reporters

House of Representatives Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Isoko Federal Constituency, Jonathan Ukodhiko has stated that  the empowerment of the girl-child and women will reduce poverty in Isoko.


Ukodhiko made the assertion on Tuesday at his country home in Erawha-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area when he received the Non-Indigene Ladies Political Forum led by the President, Mrs Joy Evivie .


He said, “for any society to be better, then it’s important to prioritize the needs of the women, by empowering them not only economically but educationally “


“I believe Isokonation will be better off and there will be reduction of poverty when our girl-child and our women are empowered to grow economically“


“As we all are aware, women are multipliers. When you empower the women you have empowered the nation”


“Before I went into the House of Representatives race, I’ve been empowering the Isoko people including the women, and I’ll do more for my people using the instrumentality of government “


He remarked, “One way to solve the issues of gender inequality is to get our girlchild educated and empowered. 


“I’m gender sensitive and women-friendly politician. I’ll be equitable and be all-inclusive in my representation as what I’ll give to the menfolk same I’ll give to the womenfolk in empowerment and employment“


The former Delta Energy Commissioner, Engr. Ukodhiko, reassured, “I’ll focus on empowering the women and our girl child “


“The girl child will be beneficiaries of my economic programmes when I am elected”


“Thus, it’s good to send someone who has the capacity and the means to fight for the empowerment of our people of the Federal Constituency"


He called on the women to be passionate about the House of Representatives project in order to put Isoko on the path of development.


“I’m coming to unite Isoko and use my business clout in drawing development to our homeland”


“I must appreciate you for your support for me and our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party so far”


“I want to assure you, for support for the PDP, you will be rewarded. The era of party faithfuls not being empowered is over ”


Earlier, Leader of the delegation Mrs Evivie said, the Non indigene political Ladies Forum was formed under the PDP to work for and vote all candidates of the party in the 2023 general elections.


She stated that, Engr Jonathan Ukodhiko’s programme captures the need of the women of Isoko Federal Constituency
